Quantitative analysis of proteins – targeted proteomics LC-MS/MS
Quantitative analysis of proteins by LC-MS/MS is a modern research tool used in biotechnology, pharmaceutical industry and clinical diagnostics. Their quantification provides key information about the state of the organism and supports drug design and biomarker research. Thanks to advanced mass spectrometry techniques such as MRM (Multiple Reaction Monitoring) and MRM HR (High-Resolution MRM), precise, sensitive and reproducible determination of specific proteins is possible even at very low concentrations. Compared to traditional methods (e.g., Western blot or ELISA), targeted proteomics does not require the use of antibodies and allows simultaneous detection of multiple proteins in a single analysis.Precision quantitative LC-MS/MS proteomics is ideal for creating extensive panels of biomarkers and studying their changes in large sets of biological samples (e.g., plasma, serum, cell cultures).
