What is PQ500™ analysis?

The PQ500™ kit consists of more than 800 stable isotopically labeled reference peptides (SIL) corresponding to approximately 582 plasma proteins. Each isotopically labeled peptide contains heavy amino acids (^13C/^15N) – Arg10 or Lys8 – that enable it to be unambiguously distinguished from naturally occurring endogenous peptides in the sample.
